Hi! I’m Lynnie! Today I’m telling you about digital product examples. Digital Product Sales is the fourth of Lynnaider’s ten ways to earn!

Let me introduce five pretend friends who sell digital products. They’re based on real creators. Watch how most of them first shared things for free, then turned what people loved into something to buy!

These characters are invented, just for learning.

What they have in common

Digital Product Sales means making and selling digital files. Or selling files you bought with the legal right to sell them again. No shipping, no stock!

Look at each one with three questions: What do they sell? Where? How do people find them?

Meet my five friends!

Evelyn the Literature Teacher

Evelyn knows school books can be tricky for kids. So she posts 30-second videos: a question, a pause, then the answer! Parents watch them with their kids before bed.

She put her 500 best videos into an e-book, with ads at back-to-school time. Free videos built trust, and the e-book turned it into money!

Mo the Potato-Animator

Mo animates a character she made up, on Instagram, just for fun. Her little stories make everyday problems feel lighter!

When fans asked how to share her posts offline, she started selling animation files in her link-in-bio. No ads at all!

Milo the Maintenance Guru

Milo has fixed things in buildings for years, like squeaky doors and blocked drains. His special idea: step-by-step fixing guides and checklists, as PDFs, for people who own or rent homes.

His faceless YouTube channel shows only his hands and tools, with his guides linked under every video!

Jules the Generous Saver

Jules loves money tips, after years of running her home on a small budget. Her idea is special! She budgets carefully every day, but gives part of what she saves to a different cause or person in need each month.

She earns by selling the online course that helped her organize her own money. She bought it with the right to sell it again!

Guy the Night Owl Photographer

Guy was always more awake at night. After learning photography, he started sharing his night walks on social media. In short videos, he explains why he stops to take each picture.

He sells his big, sharp photos in his social store, and on Shutterstock too!

What they teach us

First, free content often comes first. Evelyn, Mo, Milo and Guy all got fans by sharing something useful or pretty for free. Their product grew out of what their fans already wanted!

Second, digital products come in lots of shapes. An e-book, animations, PDF checklists, a course and photos are all digital products!

Third, different ways to bring visitors. Free reach, search, ads, or photo websites!

Make your own!

Try finishing this sentence: “I sell … to … and people find me through …”.

Already share something people like? Ask: what file would they happily pay for?

Small and private

Selling digital products can start with almost no money. You’d be surprised! Free tools, no monthly payments before anyone knows your product, and no agency needed.

And digital products work GREAT without showing your face. Secret Agent style!

What’s next?

The next article explains digital products in detail: what they are, the two main kinds, and why people love them. The whole module is in the book on our products page. Want a grown-up to help plan your first product? Go to our services page.

What grown-ups usually ask (and I answer)

What is a digital product?

A file or online content, like an e-book, guide, course, template, photo or drawing.

Are these real people?

No, they’re pretend! But based on real creators.

Do I need fans first?

It helps a lot!

Can I sell without my face?

Yes! Your product can be the star.

Are there step-by-step lessons for starting each of the ten ways cheaply?

Maybe! If lots of people want them. Join the waitlist and you’ll know first.

Is there a cheap way to start?

Yes! Lynnaider shows you how to start selling digital products for free, or for very, very little money. You’d be surprised! And a free robot helper called Lynnaider Compass helps you step by step!
