Hi! I’m Lynnie! Today I’m telling you how to go viral on social media. It’s way number two on Lynnaider’s list!
Grown-ups say “go viral!” ALL the time. Here’s the honest version.
Way 2: going viral (free!)
Funny thing: going viral isn’t really a way. It’s a result! It means a post travels WAY past your followers, because the app shows it to new people. The way is making content apps love: short videos, strong first seconds, and posting regularly.
Posting randomly doesn’t work
Posting once in a while won’t bring many people. (It’s not wasted, though! Visitors can still see what you sell.) Really trying to get shown by apps needs planning, posting regularly, and watching what works.
What apps love
Apps push your post when people DON’T just scroll past. When they watch it all the way, share it, save it or comment. Those signals tell the app: “This is good! Show more people!”
On most apps, watch time, shares and comments matter most. On Instagram, saves have become super powerful.
Three numbers have been at the top for a while:
- Watch time: how long people keep watching your video. Watching to the end tells the app it’s interesting!
- Likes per reach: out of everybody who saw it, how many liked it.
- Sends per reach: out of everybody who saw it, how many sent it to someone else. A big sign it’s useful or fun!
Which apps help new creators?
Instagram, TikTok and YouTube are best at showing new people’s posts. Facebook is much weaker for new or small accounts.
What content travels?
Posts that are funny, teach something, feel super relatable, or are really surprising have the best chance! And you have to post very regularly.
Some examples:
- A short video of a satisfying process, like packing an order or making a product. People keep watching!
- A clear tip that fixes a common problem. People save it!
- A funny, relatable moment from your niche. People send it to friends!
And none of these need your face.
Beginner’s tip
Pick ONE app. Study what already does well in your niche. Which videos get lots of views? What happens in the first seconds? How long are the best posts?
Trying lots of apps too early can make you worse on all of them.
Be honest with yourself
Posting like a content creator can feel like WAY too much for lots of people. Don’t underestimate the work and stress. Going viral isn’t easy at all. For lots of people, it might never happen.
That’s why Lynnaider never says to build your whole business on hoping for a viral post. Mix social media with steadier ways, like SEO, Pinterest or marketplace optimization.
No face, no money needed
Lots of viral accounts never show their owner! They use product videos, hands at work, screen recordings, drawings, text posts or voice-only videos.
And going viral costs no ad money. You can film with a phone and edit with free tools like CapCut or Instagram’s Edits app. You can learn it all by practicing!
What’s next?
Going viral matters most for affiliate marketing, sponsorships and audience monetization, out of the ten ways to earn. The next article is about way number three: marketplace optimization. Is there a cheap way to start?
Yes! Lynnaider shows you how to start each of the ten ways for free, or for very, very little money. You’d be surprised! And a free robot helper called Lynnaider Compass helps you step by step!
