Hi! I’m Lynnie! Today I’m telling you about having a consistent content style. Consistent means it stays the same!
If your style changes every week, nobody recognizes you! Six magic questions help you find yours.
The six magic questions
Lynnaider found these questions by watching thousands of little online businesses. But here’s the best part: you DON’T have to answer all six! Just find the three or four that matter most for you. Then stick with them, and have fun!
Remember: it’s about your content, not your product. Your product might stay the same. Your content style shapes how people experience your brand.
Here they are!
- How much of me do I show? From nobody knowing who’s behind the business at all, all the way to being fully on camera.
- Do I tell my story, or not? Keep it all about the business, or share your own experiences.
- What’s my hook? The very first impression, in the first second or two. A picture, a sound, or both!
- What feeling does my content always give? The second impression. Does it wow people, teach them, or make them laugh?
- Where can I always film or take pictures? A background, room or place that’s always easy to get to.
- Local or worldwide? Which language and which part of the world you make content for.
The next article explores each question, with examples!
Why it matters
People recognize you. When your content looks and sounds the same over time, people recognize it before they even see your name! That’s where trust begins.
Making content gets easier. You decide colors, places, tone and format ONCE. Not every single time! That saves energy, and makes it way less stressful.
Apps like it. Familiar content builds trust, and apps love that!
How to use the questions
Read all six. Mark the three or four that feel most important. Write a short answer for each one, just a sentence or two. Keep the page where you can see it. And check new content against it before you post!
Small budget? No problem!
You don’t need a studio, fancy cameras or a team. A style that stays the same can be made with a phone, light from a window, one spot, and free tools like Canva and CapCut.
And pick a style you can keep up with the hours you really have!
Oopsies
- Copying another creator’s style completely. Then you just look like a copy!
- Changing style every week because of the newest trend.
- Picking a style that needs more time or money than you have.
Same style, different topics!
It doesn’t mean posting the same thing over and over! Topics can change. The look, tone and feeling stay the same.
Every business can use it
A consistent style helps all ten ways to earn!
In short
Pick three or four questions, answer them simply, and stick with them! And question one shows it: no face needed!
