Hi! I’m Lynnie! Today I’m comparing no-code AI agent platforms. That means places where your robot helper can live, without coding!

Remember the three kinds of homes? Big mall, social shop and website. For AI helpers, two work: an AI app that acts like a big mall, or your own website.

Home 1: AI apps that act like a mall

The easiest start for most builders is ChatGPT, with a Custom GPT. ChatGPT works a lot like a big mall! It connects people who build helpers with people who use ChatGPT. It’s where your helper runs AND where people can discover it.

Building a Custom GPT

Building it is like chatting! You describe your helper, and ChatGPT turns that into its rules.

You can also upload your guides, question lists or notes. The helper uses them when it answers.

The catch? People need an account on that app to use your helper.

Home 2: your own website

The other way: build your helper with a special platform, and put it on your own website. Then ANYBODY can use it, no other account needed! You decide how it looks and where it sits, and it fits right into your website.

Vibe coding!

Almost all these tools work the same way. Grown-ups call it vibe coding! Funny name. It means making software by describing what you want in normal words, instead of writing code.

You open the setup screen and type something like: “You’re a helpful assistant for dog owners who want training tips. You’re warm and encouraging. You never recommend medicine.” And the platform turns that into your helper!

Then you keep testing and improving it, until it acts just right.

How to choose

Want to test an idea fast? A Custom GPT is the easiest start! If it works and people want it, you can rebuild it later on a separate platform and sell it directly. Lots of builders do exactly that!

Already have a website and fans? A helper on your website might be the better first step. Read each platform’s rules before you build! Our AI agent business setup article explains.

Save your work!

Keep your instructions, files and test questions saved in your own documents. If a platform changes its rules, or you want to move, you can rebuild your helper somewhere else. Your know-how stays YOURS!

Three oopsies

  1. Picking a platform for its cool features, without checking the price per chat.
  2. Building somewhere whose rules don’t allow what you want to sell.
  3. Not saving your instructions and files anywhere else.

A story

A teacher builds a homework helper. First, she makes a Custom GPT and tests it with a few families who already use ChatGPT. They love it! So she rebuilds it on a separate platform, so any parent can use it on her website. And she charges a monthly price.

What’s next?
