Hi! I’m Lynnie! Today I’m telling you about selling digital products for beginners.

Imagine making something ONCE, and selling it again and again, without ever packing a box! That’s the magic of digital products. Let’s find out what they are, why people love them, and the two main kinds!

What is it?

Lynnaider’s definition: making and selling digital files, or selling files you bought with the legal right to sell them again. It’s delivered on the computer. No shipping, no stock!

Make it or resell it

It’s most fun to sell what YOU love, know or can do. But buying a product with the right to sell it again is legal too, and feels good if it really helped you! Jules, from the digital product examples, sells the money course that helped her. Resell rights explains the rules.

Why people love it

Digital products can be sold over and over, and you never run out! Making or buying it only happens once.

People love downloading things RIGHT NOW!

But “make it once” doesn’t mean “earn without work.” You still need to bring visitors, keep the product up to date, and answer questions. The work just moves from making to being seen!

Kind 1: Knowledge

The first big kind is selling what you know. It’s so important that Lynnaider splits it into three levels!

Level a: Your own online course

The “mountain top” of knowledge products! It can be very rewarding, but it’s a LOT of work. For most beginners, it’s not the best place to start.

Level b: Recommending someone else’s product

You can earn by recommending a product that helped you get started. With resell rights, or with an affiliate link. Affiliate marketing for beginners explains how!

Level c: Small documents

You can also make small, bite-sized documents that sum up what you know. Like checklists, short guides, templates or e-books. Milo’s fixing checklists and Evelyn’s e-book are great examples!

Who it fits

Knowledge products are great if you learned a lot from school, training or work. And if you’re good at explaining complicated things simply. That makes your product extra valuable!

Kind 2: Digital art

Digital products aren’t just knowledge! Digital art is the other big kind, and lots of people forget about it. It can be just as valuable!

Here, being creative and skilled matters more than explaining things.

An example

Imagine a nurse who often explains medicine schedules to families. She makes a simple printable weekly planner with clear instructions, and sells it for a small price. She shares free tips on social media, and links the planner in her profile.

She made it once, in a weekend. Every sale is delivered automatically!

Small and private

Selling digital products can start with almost no money! You’d be surprised. Free tools, no monthly payments before anyone knows your product, and you can bring visitors yourself.

And digital products work GREAT without your face. Secret Agent style!
