Hi! I’m Lynnie! Today I’m telling you about your very first online sale. And about the three phases of online income. Phases are like the stages a caterpillar goes through before it becomes a butterfly!

Money online almost never comes all at once. Knowing the phases saves you from feeling grumpy!

Your first sale

Your first sale is a BIG moment! But it’s easy to get it wrong.

Don’t compare it to a monthly salary. The amount isn’t the point. What it TELLS you is way more important.

Somebody, somewhere, decided your thing was worth paying for! That means your idea has buyers and your business actually works. Celebrate that, then keep building patiently.

Right after your first sale

Be a detective! How did that customer find you? A Pinterest pin, a search, a big online shop, or a friend telling them? Whatever it was, do more of it!

If you can, ask for a little review. These clues help you get the second sale. And the tenth!

The three phases

Every phase is worth celebrating. Here they are.

Phase 1: Your money covers your costs

Your earnings start paying for your tools, your apps and maybe a tiny bit of ads. It’s not profit yet. But you’re not paying from your own pocket anymore!

And here’s where keeping costs low helps SO much. You need very little money to start. You’d be surprised! The lower your costs, the faster you reach phase one!

Phase 2: A little extra

Now there’s a little bit of real extra money. Grown-ups call it side income. It helps your life, without having to carry it.

This phase can last a long time, and that’s totally okay! For lots of people, this IS the goal.

Phase 3: A real money layer

Now your online money becomes a big, important layer. It can sit on top of a job. For some people, it can even replace the job one day.

But this takes WAY longer than the internet makes it look, and it’s not guaranteed. Knowing that feels nice, because there’s no silly timer ticking!

Oopsies that slow you down

  1. Paying monthly fees before any sales. That pushes phase one further away. Start free!
  2. Changing everything after one slow month. Money is wobbly at the start. Give each change time to work.
  3. Comparing yourself to other people’s best moments. Lots of people online are in phase three. Or they SAY they are! Only compare yourself to you.

Don’t forget the other two purposes

The phases are only about money, the third purpose. The other two, doing something you love and finding your people, can be there from week one! They help you stay patient in phase one, when the money is still tiny.

And all three phases can be reached without showing your face.

Celebrate! It proves people want your idea and your business works.

Why not compare it to my salary?

Because a first sale is a signal, not a paycheck.

What are the three phases?

Money covers your costs. Then a little extra. Then a real money layer.

Will there be step-by-step lessons for each of the ten ways?

Maybe! If lots of people want them. Join the waitlist and you’ll know first.

How long is phase one?

Usually months, not weeks. And reaching it is a real win!

Is it bad to stay in phase two forever?

Not at all! Lots of happy grown-ups do.

How do I know I’m in phase three?

When the money is big AND steady for several months in a row. Not just one lucky month.

Where can I get help if I don’t have much money?
